Davy Linggar (b. 1974 Jakarta, Indonesia} is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice blurs boundaries between painting, photography and video to capture and express contemporary Indonesian culture from diverse perspectives as well as methodologies.

While often insistingly refutes the reducibility of his work to linguistic explication, Linggar’s works attempt to synthesize abstract ebbs and flows of cultural movements around him into a visual juxtaposition of fragments. There seems to be an attempt for these fragments to catch sight of something whole, or beyond the sum of its component parts through the interplay of tension and harmony between each respective composition.
